November 2024
A concert is not a concert without an audience and we had TWO cracking audiences for our 'The Wrong Trousers' showings. It was great to see so many new faces as well as many familiar ones on the day. The orchestra and conductor got into the spirit and all came dressed in the 'wrong' trousers! As well as the main feature, the orchestra performed train themed music, music from E.T. and a selection from Disney classics.

The FCO and other musical organisations have recently been contacted via email - someone offers you a free Yamaha baby grand piano, saying it belonged to her late husband and she would like to donate it to someone passionate about music. This scam has circulated in other parts of the world in recent years and it seems the scammers are now targeting this locality. In Canada several people ended up transferred unrecoverable sums to a fraudulent bank account to have the non-existent piano shipped to them.

We gave our audience a survey on Saturday evening, part of which was to gauge if we were hitting the spot with our programming. The great news is that we are! We are always keen to hear from our audience and as we are looking to put together the programmes for next Season very soon we have have been asking what YOU would like to hear.

February 2024
A wonderful time was had on Saturday 10th February when we were joined by Firoze Madon, 2022 Young Musician Piano Finalist. We were treated to a sparkling rendition of Addinsell's Warsaw Concerto, which nestled in a programme of 'Romantic' gems. These ranged from the Adagio from Rachmaninov's 2nd Symphony to a selection from Puccini's La Bohème and Lady and the Tramp.

Happy New Year from FCO
We would like to wish all our friends and followers a very happy and music filled 2024! Rehearsals resume soon for our concert on February 10th at Salesian College. We are really looking forward to playing the Warsaw Concerto with past finalist of Young Musician, Firoze Madon along with a sparkling array of Romantic inspired music.
April 2023 - Charity Event
A string quartet representing the then Pelly Concert Orchestra was invited by the former Chair of Hart DC, Councillor Jane Worlock, to play at the Hart Chairman's Volunteer Recognition Award Dinner at Elvetham Heath Hotel, Fleet on 20th April.
